Bruce Burstein <br />Business Consultant, HCM Suite <br />Lawson Software, Inc. <br />Summary of Qualifications <br />As a Principal HCM Business Consultant, Bruce is responsible for working directly with the Client <br />Project Team to develop, implement, test, rollout and train personnel on Lawson Software. <br />Specifically, he will analyze the business processes, identify user needs, define functional <br />requirements, conduct gap analysis & resolution, design and develop requirements, and <br />implement the new system. In addition, Bruce can write functional specifications for any system <br />modifications and interfaces. Bruce will work on test planning and execution, coordination with <br />any third parties, and development of end user training. To assist in management and planning, <br />Bruce provides status reports to management, communicates issues, and advises /recommends <br />best solutions for a successful project. <br />Bruce is certified to implement all modules of the Lawson Human Resources Suite as well as <br />Employee /Manager Self- service. He is certified on the Lawson 6.x, 7.x and 8.x and 9.x releases <br />of Lawson. He also has experience with data security setup, Internet Products (Open <br />Component Extensions), MS Office Application Suite /Lawson Add -ins. As an Advisory HR <br />Application Consultant and Project Lead, Bruce will assist and manage Associates' in areas of <br />product knowledge and implementation procedures and practices. <br />Lawson Experience <br />Bruce has demonstrated his strong HR functional knowledge, implementation and project <br />management skills while working with several clients. He worked recently on the full life cycle <br />system development for the Irvine Company, which was completed in six months; and a new <br />platform implementation (from AS /400 to Windows NT) for the Las Vegas Valley Water District. <br />He has also worked on many self - service implementations, such as open enrollment for <br />Children's Hospital of Orange County and Triad Financial, and Manager Self- service for Denver <br />Public Schools. Bruce was the lead for the Orange County Transportation Authority project and <br />the McDonalds upgrade project. <br />Professional Experience <br />Before joining Lawson, Bruce worked as an HRIS Analyst for the Los Angeles Times on the <br />Genesys software package. In this position, he handled the training, report writing, support, and <br />upgrades for the software. <br />Through his professional career, Bruce has shown his ability to work under pressure, work on <br />several system projects simultaneously, develop innovative approaches to solve client's' issues, <br />and adjust priorities based on assignments.
