Santiago Nature Reserve <br />January 18, 2008 <br />Pa ee33 <br />Part 2 Amphitheater and related site improvements (continued) <br />• There should be electrical service to the amphitheater. Low level site lighting is <br />planned, with possible relocation or separate switching of the existing light near <br />the amphitheater site. <br />• Decomposed granite pathways are to be provided bringing people from the <br />parking area to the building and to the amphitheater. There will also be a <br />walkway paralleling the stream bed that can also be used by service vehicles. <br />• Small group campsites to be relocated. These sites will include a flat tent site pad, <br />a table and a barbeque /fire pit. <br />• Steel bollards, steel gate, and monument sign are to be removed. Wood gates and <br />wood fencing and with stone pilasters would be installed instead. <br />• Storm drain and other site utilities must be taken into account in the design. <br />B. Planning Services <br />1. Prepare base sheet/ site plan. <br />2. Prepare landscape plan sketch for City staff review. <br />3. Present two alternative designs/ materials for the amphitheater design. <br />4. Design site layout to include restoration considerations as recommended by <br />restoration ecologist, Margot Griswold. <br />5. Review planting list and planting concepts with City Staff. <br />6. Respond to comments and prepare final preliminary site/ landscape plan. <br />(Allow 2 meetings with City Staff during this phase) <br />TASK 3 - Development of Construction Drawings <br />A. Landscape Architecture <br />The landscape architect will provide the following services: <br />1. Coordination with sub - consultants and design oversight <br />2. Site demolition plan <br />3. Site construction plan with construction notes and dimensioning based on the <br />building and existing site features. <br />3. Landscape grading plan. Note: This would not include grading quantities, <br />drainage appurtenances, civil engineering, or civil engineering grading notes. <br />4. Concept lighting and light fixture suggestions <br />5. Design details for amphitheater, pathways, and fencing <br />6. Work with restoration ecologist to finalize design and specifications for <br />restoration areas. <br />7. Planting plan <br />8. Cover sheet <br />
