PBS£3J
Schedule and Budget Control
PBS &J will be cost effective by managing each
individual work authorization closely. Our management
approach includes initiation of regular and
formal lines of communication, efficient use of
meetings, strong and reliable project reporting
and management systems, and experienced
project management. Our strength in effectively
managing projects translates to a cost savings for
our clients. The ability to meet project schedules
and budgets is a clear indicator of efficient project
management. PBS &J has a long history of
accomplishing this outcome on a wide variety of
projects.
PBS &J maintains a job -order cost accounting
system for the recording and accumulation of
costs incurred under its contracts. Each project
is assigned a job number so that costs may be
segregated and accumulated in our job -order cost
accounting system. Our computerized accounting
system provides information directly to the desk
of each staff member, which allows them to track
budgets throughout the life of a project. Our
accounting system tracks project expenditures by
phase and task and desegregates labor charges by
staff member, and expenses and subconsultants'
charges by the nature of the expenditure. Project
managers are encouraged to track budget
compliance on a bi- weekly basis, and are required
to provide a monthly financial status report on all
projects to senior management.
