<br />Page 19 of 41 <br /> <br />request a proposal (cost bid) from the Contractor to perform the <br />work. The Contractor understands and agrees that the Director will <br />approve in writing any extra work before the Contractor actually <br />performs any work. <br /> <br />H. HARDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />1) During each site visit, concrete (including stamped concrete) and asphalt <br />areas, including, driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, PR&CSA roadways, <br />patios shall be checked for hazards and blown clean daily. <br /> <br />All expansion joints and cracks are to be maintained free of weeds. <br /> <br />Dirt, litter, and other debris must be removed/blown off from all paved <br />areas on a daily basis. <br /> <br />Inspect for safety hazards, including tripping hazards, holes, or other <br />conditions. Immediately mitigate hazards, and then report them <br />immediately to the Director. <br /> <br />2) Vacuums, blowers, sweepers or other approved means may be used to <br />clean hardscape areas. However, debris shall not under any <br />circumstance be blown or otherwise swept onto adjacent streets or <br />property. All debris must be picked up by the Contractor and removed <br />from the site. The City must approve any equipment that is used for <br />cleaning hardscape. <br /> <br />4) Picnic facilities and park benches, including but not limited to picnic tables, <br />benches, concrete pads and shelters shall be maintained in a safe and <br />clean condition. <br /> <br />5) All picnic amenities and park benches shall be service daily to assure that <br />all trash, debris, glass, staples, nails, tape, wire, etc. is removed. <br /> <br />6) All concrete picnic amenities, including but not limited to picnic tables, <br />benches, pads, shelter posts, trash receptacles, shall be power washed <br />with an approved high pressure steam cleaner, being careful not to <br />damage the picnic amenities, once every six (6) months. <br /> <br />7) All wood picnic amenities shall be painted with an approved standard paint <br />as often as necessary to maintain a clean and safe appearance. In <br />addition, should the metal hardware attached to the picnic amenities need <br />painting then the Contractor shall paint the metal hardware as well. <br /> <br />8) All parks with flag poles shall have an American flag flying at all times. <br />The Contractor shall visually inspect the flag daily to assure it is in good <br />condition. Should, in the opinion of the Contractor, the flag not be in a <br />condition worthy of representing our country, he/she shall request from the <br />Director immediately an new flag which the-Co ritracto r -shall hoist uporiu - <br /> <br />25H-33 <br />
