URS has successfully completed many projects within the City of Santa Ana and for the City over the past decades. <br />The projects listed below are examples of the considerable experience we have and highlight our staff s involvement <br />proposed for this contract. <br />? Edinger Avenue Reconstruction/Resurfacing; Santa Ana, CA - <br />URS performed pavement analysis, geotechnical investigation and prepared the plans, specifications and <br />estimates (PS&E) for rehabilitation of Edinger Avenue from Magnolia Avenue to Main Street. Work included <br />topographic survey, pavement reconstruction/resurfacing, replacement/installation of curbs, gutters, <br />sidewalks, driveways, bus pads, wheelchair ramps and traffic detector loops. In addition, utility manholes and <br />valve covers were adjusted to grade and traffic striping plans were prepared. All improvements were <br />incorporated to keep the total construction costs within <br />the limits of available City funds. t + ?, <br />? MS4 NPDES Permit Support; Santa Ana, CA - URS <br />developed and prioritized an inventory of industrial and E _ <br />commercial facilities within the City's jurisdiction as ? z <br />required by the City's municipal separate storm sewer ®=_ <br />system (MS4) NPDES permit. "Windshield surveys" were -'' <br />conducted for more than 1,000 facilities. Inspections were - - "r <br />conducted for more than 640 facilities and reports were <br />prepared to summarize the results. Enforcement <br />documentation was prepared for the City, including 125 <br />notifications to the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality _ <br />Control Board for facilities that were potentially in F? -oil MAIN- d <br />violation of the General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity. URS also <br />provided general storm water program compliance assistance, including review of model compliance programs <br />developed by the County of Orange. <br />? City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency OrrSite Assignment; Santa Ana, CA - URS provided a project <br />engineer (Stephanie Hillebrand) to work on-site in the City's engineering department. Stephanie provided <br />services ranging from engineering/CADD support to cost estimating on various City PS&E projects. Projects <br />included a street widening, pavement rehabilitation and overlay and aesthetic improvements for a period of <br />nearly half a year. In addition, Stephanie provided InRoads (engineering software) support to City design <br />engineers. <br />? Second Street Reconstruction; Santa Ana, CA - URS prepared PS&E for the complete reconstruction of <br />Second Street in downtown Santa Ana. Work included reprofiling of the street grades, utility relocations, storm <br />drain improvements, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and landscape enhancements. <br />? Edinger Avenue Landscaping; Santa Ana, CA - The project consisted of median improvements involving <br />planting, irrigation and accent paving along the arterial. The design focused on the preservation of existing trees <br />and the highlighting of neighborhood entries. <br />? Intersection Signalization Improvement Project; Santa Ana, CA - The project consisted of the addition of <br />protected left-turn pockets and signalized intersection improvements throughout the City.
