For example, the date; if the date is after the import date; the system will import the citation and report a date problem. Often the hand held ticket writers have a date error and produce a date out of range. The range our system accepts as normal is current date and 90 days prior. Anything out of this date range would be reported for further checking. Data entry for hard copy citations are entered with key fields verified for accuracy. The violation codes entered into the system must be capable to an existing table as verification for accuracy and authorization of a violation code. In the event of an error, either Phoenix Group or CITY (security level required) may edit the citations for correction. The most common type of corrections that are available to CITY for editing is: 1.Cite Date 2. Violation, 3. Amount of fine 4. License Plate, State Fields captured from the citation will include all requirements as identified in CVC 40202, such as: Citation number, license number, registration expiration date, last 4 VIN (if visible), Color, make, violation, date, approx. time, location, due date, payment amount due, Officer Comments, etc. Citation Data Fields: a. Citation number, b. Date and time of issuance of citation, b. Badge number of issuing officer, c. Vehicle license plate /vehicle identification number (VIN), d. Last four digits of VIN number, e. Vehicle license state code, f. Vehicle registration expiration date, g. Vehicle make /model /year /color, h. Violation code number and description of violation, i. Location of violation, j.
