Adopt a resolution approving modification to Conditional Use Permit <br />No. 1964-172 as conditioned. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Request of Applicant <br />Michael Vue, on behalf of Poor Clare Missionary Sisters, Inc., is <br />requesting approval of Variance No. 2008-21 and modification to <br />Conditional Use Permit No. 1964-172 to allow the construction of a <br />multi-purpose building at 1021 North Newhope Street. <br />Property Description <br />The project site is approximately 4.26 acres in size and is occupied by an <br />existing convent and child care facility. The convent is approximately <br />11,200 square feet and the existing child care building is 8,150 square <br />feet. The parcel is located within the Single-Family Residential (R1) <br />zoning district and has a General Plan land use designation of Low <br />Density Residential (LR-7). The site is located on the northeast corner <br />of Hazard Avenue and Newhope Street. Surrounding land uses include <br />residential to the north, south and west, and residential to the east <br />that is separated by the Orange County Flood Control District Channel <br />(Exhibits 1 and 2). <br />EXHIBIT A <br />31 A-2 <br />
