POLICE DEPARTMENT (CONTINUED) <br />12) Parking Fee — Red Zone <br />Existing Fee: $51.00 <br />Proposed Fee: $61.00 <br />This fee has not been increased since 2002. The proposed increase will help offset staff costs as well <br />as the assessed rate increase per SB 1407. Below are fee comparisons from other cities: <br />Anaheim - $42.00 <br />Irvine - $31.00 <br />Newport Beach - $66.00 <br />13) Parking in Alley or Parkway - SAMC 36- 135(a), (b), SAMC 36 -136 <br />Existing Fee: $42.00 <br />Proposed Fee: $52.00 <br />This fee has not been increased since 2002. Below are fee comparisons from other cities: <br />Anaheim - $47.00 <br />Westminster - $28.00 <br />Newport Beach - $66.00 <br />14) Massage Technician Permits <br />Existing Fee: $155.00 <br />Proposed Fee: $300.00 <br />This fee covers the entire cost of processing permits for Massage Technicians. This fee has not been <br />increased since 1988. Processing the permits consists of a complete background check via State and <br />County records, DOJ fingerprints, and previous employment history. It is estimated that each permit <br />takes about 10 of staff time to process. Below are comparisons from other cities <br />Anaheim - $200.00 <br />Costa Mesa - $315.00 <br />OC Sheriffs - $406.00 <br />15) Massage Establishment Change of Location or Name <br />Existing Fee: $35.00 <br />Proposed Fee: $260.00 <br />This fee covers the entire cost of processing a requested change in location for Massage <br />Establishments. This fee has not been increased since 1988. Processing the change of location <br />requires a review by various City Agencies.
