Public Information Officer: Willdan will offer one, 16 -hour public <br />information officer course that will provide up to 35 students with the <br />training and resources they need to effectively interface with the media <br />while serving as a public information officer. The students will learn the <br />basics of working effectively and positively with the news media. <br />Students will understand the laws relating to media access and release <br />of information; learn to effectively communicate messages in a natural <br />and effective manner; learn to control the image of the organization in a <br />positive light; learn to effectively deal with crisis communications & <br />management; learn to realistically convey information meeting the ICS/ <br />NIMS/SIMS guidelines. Willdan will provide two instructors, 35 student <br />manuals and audio visual equipment necessary to conduct the class. <br />Willdan requests the use of a Santa Ana PD classroom to conduct the <br />class. Our cost proposal does not reflect the provision of lunch, but <br />does include light refreshments (coffee, water, and muffins). <br />Cost $8,000.00 <br />J. ICS 300/400: Willdan will provide the instructors, course materials for <br />up to 30 students, and audio visual equipment necessary to deliver the <br />classes. UASI Website Statement of Work Development: WHS will facilitate <br />the establishment of two planning groups and the conduct of 7 planning <br />meetings to complete the Project. The first planning group will focus on <br />the requirements to develop a website that services the needs of the <br />Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center. The second planning <br />group will focus on the requirements to develop a Grants Management <br />website. Identification and explanation of the proposed meetings is <br />provided below: <br />1. Kick Off Meeting. The kick off meeting will be conducted to provide <br />both planning groups with project orientation, requirements, and <br />expectations. Urban Area best practices and/or characteristics will <br />also be presented. <br />2. Website Scope Development Meeting. One meeting held for each <br />group to solicit the technical and operational requirements for each <br />website. <br />3. Website Scope Review Meeting. Each planning group will convene <br />to review and comment on the draft SOW. <br />4. Website Scope Finalization Meeting.
