■ Restitution assistance - helping victims obtain court- ordered restitution from <br />convicted offenders. <br />■ Filing Victim of Crime State Compensation Claims - assisting the victim and eligible <br />family members in preparing and submitting application forms to receive funds <br />from the State Restitution Fund. <br />■ Temporary Restraining Orders - Assisting victims of domestic violence to obtain <br />court ordered protection. <br />Quantifiable Performance Measures: (Established by the agency to assess whether grant <br />objectives are being met) <br />The Irvine Police Department intends to quantify the success of the program by actively <br />tracking the following performance measures: <br />■ Number of Victim Resource Guides /Brochures distributed. <br />■ Number of victims served by the dedicated advocate, as compared to number of <br />victims served prior to the dedicated advocate. <br />■ Amount of restitution secured for our victims, as facilitated by the dedicated <br />advocate. <br />■ Number of restraining orders obtained for our victims, as facilitated by our <br />dedicated advocate. <br />Timeline or proiect plan: (Identifying when the goals and objectives will be completed) <br />Goals and objectives of the program are to be completed within one -year of receiving 2009 <br />justice Assistance Grant. <br />The advocate will be tasked with fulfilling the objectives based on the needs of the <br />community and individual victims. <br />Funding: <br />Total Allocation: $66,563.00 <br />PROACT Contribution: (10 %) $ 6,656.30 <br />Administrative Fee (9.0 %): $ 5.990.67 <br />Funds Retained by City: $53,916.03 <br />2009- F1801 -CA -SB Page 30 of 61 <br />
