Specifications for the <br />Police Administration Building <br />& Holding Facility <br />• Compliance With Equal Employment Opportunity and Nondiscrimination <br />Regulations <br />The City of Santa Ana is an equal opportunity city. Qualified firms owned by women, <br />minorities and disabled persons are encouraged to apply. <br />Any vendor performing under this contract shall not discriminate against worker, <br />employee, or applicant, or any member of the public, because of race, creed, color, <br />religion, sex or national origin, nor otherwise commit and unfair employment <br />practice. Proposal must include a completed copy of a Certification of <br />Nondiscrimination (See Appendix A). <br />5.1 CANCELLATION <br />Either party may cancel the contract, with 30 days written notice. <br />5.2 DOCUMENTS TO BE CONSTRUCTED TOGETHER <br />The Request for Proposal, the Proposal, and all documents referred to in the completed <br />specifications and the Contract to be entered into between the Vendor and the City, and <br />all modifications of said documents, shall be construed together as one document. <br />5.3 ERRORS and OMISSIONS <br />The City and/or Vendor shall not be allowed to take advantage of any errors in or <br />omissions in the Request for Proposal. Full instructions will be given if such error or <br />omission is discovered and timely called to the attention of the City or Vendor. <br />5.4 FIRM COMMITMENT of AVAILABILITY of SERVICE <br />Once a Proposal is opened, the Vendor is expected to maintain an availability of service <br />as se forth in their proposal for the stated prices for the full contract term after opening <br />date for the Proposal. <br />5.5 TERM of AGREEMENT <br />The term of the agreement shall be for two years. The City reserves the right of renewing <br />this agreement for an additional three (3) one-year periods. <br />3 of 29 <br />
