As a public affairs associate in Orange County, she worked with `environmental and public works clients on community outreach projects, organizing information sessions to build support for Orange County Water District projects, as well as other public and private ventures. Taraneh represented the Orange County Water _ District's Groundwater Replenishment System, a revolutionary program that boosted the `county's water reliability. To raise awareness about the system in the local community, Taraneh organized and took part in a variety of outreach events, including the coordination of meetings with community groups and creative representation of the project at local events.
