The Rebuilding Careers Program for Young Adults, a 12-month program proposed by <br /> Working Wardrobes, is designed to provide full case management workforce development <br /> services to out-of-school youth, ages 16-24, in Santa Ana. Over the 12-month program period, <br /> the program will achieve the following objectives: <br /> • Provide Career Coaching, Mentorship, and Exploration <br /> Pair each participant with the program's dedicated 1.0 FTE Career Navigator(Case <br /> Manager) who will provide personalized guidance, career assessments and goal setting. <br /> Leverage the expertise of volunteer Career Coaches with HR related experiences to <br /> provide one-on-one resume and interview preparation. Utilize the B-Unbound online <br /> platform to connect participants with adult mentors in relevant fields for job shadowing, <br /> mock interviews, and informational interviewing, allowing them to explore various fields <br /> and gain insights into different industries. <br /> • Increase Workforce Readiness <br /> Provide workforce readiness training to 20 out-of-school youth,through a workshop <br /> series that includes resume building,job search strategies, interview preparation, <br /> financial literacy, and workplace success techniques. Ensure that all participants <br /> complete paid workforce readiness workshops, equipping them with the essential skills <br /> to confidently navigate the job market. Focus on developing key soft skills, including time <br /> management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication, while supporting <br /> participants in cultivating vital personal and professional attributes such as responsibility <br /> and work ethic—critical for long-term career growth and advancement. Offer both in- <br /> person and self-paced learning options to accommodate diverse learning styles and <br /> ensure that all clients have the flexibility to engage with the material in a way that best <br /> supports their needs.. <br /> w Provide Paid Work Experience (WEX) <br /> Provide clients with up to 70 hours of paid work experience at host sites in high-demand <br /> industries or at Working Wardrobes locations. Each host site will be vetted to ensure <br /> they provide a safe learning environment that focuses on the development of both soft <br /> skills and technical job-related skills. This includes on-the-job training and exposure to <br /> career pathways in high demand industries like healthcare, transportation, <br /> manufacturing, retail, logistics, customer service, and more. Paid work experience <br /> opportunities will be provided in partnership with regional employers like hospitals, <br /> hospitality groups, IT service providers, and through in-house placements at Working <br /> Wardrobes' social enterprises, such as The Hanger Outlets, Donation Center and Career <br /> Success Center. <br />
