FREE RECORDING PURSUANT TO <br />GOVERNMENT CODE § 27383 <br />Resolution No. 2024-XX <br />Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />• Like-for-like replacement of three metal casement windows <br />(Windows E2 and E4) with the same size, operation, and dimensi ons <br />(Windows N6 and N7) <br />• Leveling of the brick porch flooring with the addition of bricks similar <br />to the existing brickwork. <br />Alterations to the secondary south façade would include: <br />• Removal of the existing non-historic door (Door F11) and window, <br />filling of openings, and application of new stucco to match the <br />existing stucco cladding at this location; <br />• Removal of historic French doors (Door F10) facing the rear patio <br />and installation of a new metal-sash casement window (Window N3) <br />in an altered opening at the same location; <br />• Removal of non-historic window (Window E7) facing the rear patio <br />and installation of a new metal-sash casement window (Window N3) <br />at the same location. <br />Alterations to the secondary north façade would include: <br />• Removal of a non-historic, secondary sliding-glass door (Door F8) <br />and installation of two metal-sash casement windows (Window N2 <br />and N3) in an altered opening at the same location; <br />• Removal of an existing metal-sash window (Window E6) and <br />replacement with new metal-sash casement windows (Windows N4). <br />• Removal of two existing historic wood windows (Windows E5 and <br />E6) and replacement with like-for-like wood horizontal windows. <br />• Removal of two to three linear feet of board-and-batten siding and <br />application of stucco fill to accommodate the replacement of the <br />easternmost window on this façade. <br />Alterations to the rear-facing west façade would include: <br />• Removal of non-historic vinyl window (Window E7) and replacement <br />with metal-framed sliding glass door (Door P5) in an enlarged <br />opening; <br />• Removal of two paired 15-light wood-sash sliding windows (Windows <br />E7), enlargement of openings at this location, and installation of a <br />single metal French door and light assembly (Door P6). <br />G. Pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 30 -6, the Historic <br />Resources Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on November 7, <br />2024, for the request for exterior modifications to the C.J. Young House. <br />H. Since the property is deemed a historic structure, all exterior modifications <br />are required to meet the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. <br />1.
