i SCOPE OF WORK <br /> authorization. All work on the same DTO shall be done on the same day, unless <br /> approved otherwise by the Project Manager or Designee. <br /> Larger work assignments (grid work), where the work to be performed may include <br /> re-striping and re-painting of all roadway markings within an identified area, shall <br /> be completed within 10 to 20 working days, determined by Project Manager or City <br /> designee. The contractor shall complete all assigned work in each grid before <br /> moving to the next assigned grid. <br /> Any deviations from the above shall be preapproved by Project Manager or City <br /> Desig nee. <br /> B. Emergency Response <br /> For damaged signs, the Contractor shall replace the signs within 24 hours. If <br /> Underground Service Alert is required, the signs must be replaced within 3 working <br /> days. <br /> The Contractor shall have adequate number of the following signs in stock at all <br /> time for the duration of the contract for emergency response: <br /> 1. STOP (R1, 30") <br /> 2. NO RT SYMBOL (R17, 24"x24") <br /> 3. NO LT SYMBOL (R16, 24"x24°) <br /> 4. DO NOT ENTER (R11, 36°x36") <br /> 5. ROAD CLOSED (C2, 36"x24") <br /> 6. ONE WAY (R10, 48"x16 LT or RT) <br /> 2.3 STRIPING TRAFFIC STRIPES AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS <br /> This Section shall conform to the CSASPs, the latest CSP and provisions in Section <br /> 84 of the CSS and these Special Provisions. <br /> A. General <br /> All traffic stripes and pavement markings will be traffic paint or Extruded <br /> Thermoplastic as called out per individual tasks. <br /> All curb markings and median island markings shall be painted using <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliant paint material. Paint <br /> shall be fast or rapid dry type solvent of similar or approved equal to that <br /> manufactured by Ennis or Pervo Paint Companies and shall meet all <br /> requirements of South Coast Air Quality Management District. The rate of <br /> paint to be applied shall be per recommendation of the paint manufacturer. <br /> All pavement markings including legends, arrows, and symbols shall be per <br /> CSP Nos.
