CITY OF SANTA ANA „ SANTA ANA BOULEVARD GRADE SEPARA1lC3Ti MARK TMGMAS Assumptions: • The 35% Plans are anticipated to consist of the General Plan prepared for the Bridge Type Selection Report and a Foundation Plan. • This scope assumes that the bridge drawings will be developed with traditional 2D linework, and Mark Thomas or others will use the 2D linework to develop 3D models for visualization purposes. • This scope assumes that the preferred alternative resulting from Task 8.2.1 is consistent with the general assumptions in this Scope of Work, and that the selected construction staging alternative will consist of constructing foundations outside of the tracks and using Slide -In Bridge Construction methods. • Structural calculations will be prepared in accordance with AREMA, SCRRA design criteria, and Caltrans manuals. Structural calculations will be submitted at the 65% milestone (Draft), reconciled with the independent structural check calculations, and then a Final set of structural calculations will be prepared. The Final Structural Calculations will be signed and sealed by a licensed engineer in the State of California. • Biggs Cardosa will supply plans and structural calculations for inclusion in the SCRRA submittal packages at the City - specified milestone submittal (e.g. the 65% plans will be packaged by other into a 60% SCRRA submittal). • Comments received on a milestone submittal will be addressed at the subsequent submittal. This scope does not assume preparation of Draft 65% Plans and Final 65% Plans, for example. 8.2.3 Independent Check An independent design check of the rail bridge will be performed in conformance with Caltrans Bridge Design and Details Manual and SCRRA standards and design manuals.
