TANNER #252 Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 06/23/2013 Date: 06/25/2013 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />• Officer GARY AYALA <br />• Officer SAUL ESQUIVEL <br />The following items were collected and/or photographed under OCCL FR # 13-48764: <br />Santa Ana Police Officer GARY AYALA #3294 <br />Officer AYALA’s uniform consisted of a short sleeved, dark blue uniform shirt and long <br />dark blue pants. The uniform shirt had Santa Ana Police patches affixed to both sleeves below <br />the shoulder. A metal police badge was affixed above the left shirt pocket and AYALA’s <br />nameplate was affixed above the right shirt pocket. AYALA wore a complete Sam Browne duty <br />belt. <br />AYALA’s duty belt contained the following items: <br />• Glock, Model 22, .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol, right side <br />• Two additional 15 round capacity semi-automatic pistol magazines, left front <br />• Motorola hand held radio, left side <br />• (2) pair handcuffs, left and right rear <br />• “Silent” key holder, right rear <br />• Key clip, right front <br />• Oleoresin Capsicum spray, left rear <br />• PR-24 baton, left side <br /> AYALA carried a backup handgun in his left rear pants pocket. The backup handgun was <br />not collected by the OCCL. <br />The backup handgun and ammunition were described as follows: <br />• Smith and Wesson, Bodyguard, .380 semi-automatic pistol serial number #EBT-0446. <br />The handgun magazine was loaded to capacity with six rounds of Hornady .380 auto <br />ammunition with one round in the chamber of the pistol. <br />
