Traffic Analysis Task 1.0 Review Existing Documents/Transportation Conditions <br />1.1 Review Existing Bristol Street Corridor Specific Plan and General Plan Circulation <br />Element <br />The existing Bristol Street Specific Plan and City of Santa Ana General Plan Circulation <br />Element and other available studies or policy documents will be reviewed to identify <br />pertinent policies, programs, or issues that should be considered In the proposed <br />updates. The siarting point for this review will be the existing goals, policies and <br />objectives and roadway classification and cross sections. URS will meet with City staff to <br />discuss corridor specific Issues that need to be Incorporated in the updates. <br />URS will review the Regional and Countywide Transportation Plans, as well as other <br />studies, (e.g. the Central County Corridor study and other development plans, the <br />ongoing Bristol Street Widening Phase 3 and 4 EIR documentation, the Bristol <br />Street/Sevenfeenth Street Widening and other relevant NEPA Written Evaluation <br />Studies), which could include analysis or recommendations on transportation issues <br />affecting Bristol Street. <br />The result of this task will provide key input to the Specific Plan and the General Plan <br />(Circulation Element) amendments and will help to identify the types of policies and <br />programs iand level of development that can be supported by the City's circulation <br />system specifically the Bristol Street Corridor. <br />1,2 Describe Selling <br />This task will focus on the description of key and relevant roadway segments and <br />intersections along the Bristol Street Corridor, The street functional classification and <br />related standards will be described, as well as right-of-way, cross sections, number of <br />lanes, medlan types, traffic control devices and applicable Intelligent Transportation <br />System (ITS) elements. <br />Available existing traffic count information will be obtained, catalogued and reviewed. <br />Traffic data from recent or current traffic studies will be used if available and used with <br />the City's approval. If necessary, URS will collect additional new daily roadway and <br />peak hour intersection traffic counts to supplement this database. Daily traffic volumes <br />on select study segments and peak hour intersection volume on Bristol Street Wit be <br />documented and described. Generalized daily levels of service (LOS) will be <br />calculated for roadway segments based on existing City guidelines for daily capacities <br />for various street classifications.
