"this security bid proposal is for the City of Santa Ana's Main Library located at 26 Civic Center Placa, and the Ne-v}:opc library learning Center at 122 North Ne hope Street_ In this proposal, the party who is contracting to receive serviecs shall he referred to as the City of Santa Ana and the party who will be providing the services shall be roller -red to as "North American Security, hie. (NAS)_ 1. NAS)_"1. DESC:RiPTION OF SERVICES. Beginning on December 1, 2010, NAS will provide the following services, (cvJlcctively the' :Services"): • Provide unarmed security officers on foot to ensure the safety of all City Nvorkcrs assigned to the two libraries, their visitors, and safeguarding the library properties and equipment. The bid is for two unarmed guards, with a weekly total of 60 hours of service at the Main Civic Center Library and 20 hours of service at the Newhope Library. Two Full time guards will lirltSll contract services, with one securing Newhopc 4 -hours it day, and then completing his/her final 4 -hour shift at the Main Library. "I'he Main Library will receive coverage 12 -hours a day, 5 -days a week. Actual hours will be designated by the City of Santa Ana. Ifix request for removal of any security officer on post is trade by the City of Santa Arta with valid reason(s) fbr removal, North American Security, Inc. must remove the officer within a 24 hour periost and ensure that the officer won't be posted again at any location under this contract. Please note that this price includes that NAS pay our guards a "1 _iving Wage" with a $2.20 an hour stipend for- medical coverage. This price also includes the supervision ofthe guard. uniforms, equipment, radios for the client and our guard, and all overheads associated with this contract. if the City of Santa Ana requires that our guards work beyond their normal 9 -hour - shifts, tivc will bill that additional time at a time and half rate. 3. [NSURANCE. North American Security, Inc. will maintain Workers Comp Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence on its employees.
