• Raise and lower flags at dawn and dusk. <br />• Perform any other related work as required. <br />• When necessary, cooperate with and give access to service areas to other contractor personnel and report <br />when service is done. <br />• Complete an Unsecured Vehicle Sheet when a vehicle is found open or unsecured in any way. Report of this <br />activity will be made in the DAR. <br />• Personal business must be conducted away from the job site. No use of private cell phones is allowed while <br />on post, unless prior authorization has been secured. <br />It is hereby noted that the duties and responsibilities of security officers and post commanders include, but are not <br />limited to the above. Policy and procedure changes and additions made by the SARTC management will be <br />appropriately conveyed by the property manager to the post commander and will be followed by all security <br />officers. <br />VITAL PERSONNEL INFORMATION <br />Because of the sensitivity of the security officer function, the City requires that the Santa Ana Police Department <br />conduct its own background checks of contractor's personnel at contractor's expense. The City will maintain <br />cards on each officer containing the following information: <br />• Name of security officer <br />• Permanent address <br />• Telephone number <br />• Social Security Number <br />• California Class "D" security officer license number <br />• Drivers License Number or photo identification card and issuing state <br />• Location(s) where trained <br />• Date training was completed <br />Santa Ana Police Department's clearance must be granted before any person can begin training or reports for <br />duty. <br />When a security officer with an active card on files ceases to be assigned to duty at the SARTC, the contractor <br />shall so inform the property manager immediately. <br />POST INSTRUCTIONS OVERVIEW <br />Purpose <br />Provide the SARTC visible deterrence against crimes of vandalism, theft, and bodily injury on a twenty-four- <br />(24-) hour basis. Contractor shall develop a comprehensive set of Post Orders documenting both general <br />procedures, as well as site-specific responsibilities. Draft Post Orders shall be prepared prior to the <br />commencement of the contract and must be reviewed and approved by the City within fifteen (15) days from <br />commencement of contractor's services. <br />25B-6 4
