0 AECOM 1 1) <br />Lino Cheang, PE, GE <br />Mr. Cheang has provided foundation design for close to three hundred new, re- <br />Geotechnical Services <br />placed and widened structures, statewide, for various transportation and public <br />works agencies. These structures include railroad bridges, major water crossings, <br />Education and Registrations <br />long viaducts, and overcrossings and undercrossings at major interchanges. He is <br />MS /1979 /Civil Engineering <br />currently providing foundation design recommendations for two grade separation <br />BS/1978 /Civil Engineering <br />projects (Streeter Avenue and Riverside Avenue) in the City of Riverside. He is fa- <br />PE /1987 /California No: C41401 (Civil) <br />PE/1 <br />miliar with Caltrans design philosophy and criteria, and the review process. He has <br />GE /1997 /California No. 2345 <br />worked closely with civil and structural engineers to develop and refine cost - saving <br />schemes for foundations. Mr. Cheang is currently a part -time faculty at California <br />State University, Long Beach, teaching courses on soil mechanics and soil labora- <br />tory testing. <br />Streeter Avenue and Riverside Avenue Grade Separation Projects, Riverside, <br />California: These two grade separation projects involve depressed roadways with <br />R/R tracks on a R/R bridge. This project is currently in the field exploration phase. <br />Sand Canyon Boulevard grade Separation, Irvine, California, The project includes <br />providing geotechnical recommendations for construction of a R/R bridge and <br />adjoining high retaining walls. <br />Dale Street Grade Separation, Buena Park, California: Provided all aspect of <br />foundation design including design of a subdrain system for the depressed <br />roadway. <br />Sepulveda Boulevard Grade Separation, Carson, California: Provided foundation <br />design recommendations for a 16 -span railroad overpass including several tall <br />retaining walls at the approaches. <br />MTA Pasadena Blue Line (2 Segments), L.A. River to Arroyo Seco and Memorial <br />Park to Sierra Madre Villa, California: Collected and reviewed field and laboratory <br />test results to assist Civil and Structural engineers in foundation design for <br />bridges, retaining walls and cut - and -cover structures. <br />Henry Ford Avenue Grade Separation, Los Angeles, California: This is a major <br />south -end project for the Alameda Corridor. The project includes 2 bridges <br />crossing Dominguez Channel and a long R/R viaduct. <br />SR -71 /Mission Boulevard Grade Separation, Pomona, California. Provided <br />preliminary foundation design recommendations for alternative analyses. <br />Valley Blvd Grade Separation, Los Angeles, California: Collected and reviewed <br />field and laboratory test results to assist Civil and Structural engineers in <br />foundation design for bridge alternatives, one of these alternatives is an <br />underpass option with groundwater issues. <br />luruna Avenue Grade Separation. Riverside, California: This is a underpass but <br />no groundwater issues.
