Traffic engineer for this <br /> $4.5 million widening of a 4,000-foot segment of Gale Avenue within the City of <br /> Industry and County of Los Angeles. Conceptual and final design services were <br /> provided for two lanes in each direction with a continuous two-way left turn lane. <br /> The design included the evaluation of geometric alternatives, coordination with <br /> utility companies, materials testing, traffic signals, construction staging, traffic <br /> signing and striping, storm drain modifications, and private property restoration. <br /> „ I L. The project included the construction of a braid ramp/split diamond <br /> system with an at-grade ramp connection at Third Street. This alternative was <br /> selected by the team members after a comprehensive value engineering process. <br /> The geometric approval drawings (GAD) was prepared in close coordination with <br /> Caltrans, who prepared the GAD for segments 2 and 3. Also included was the <br /> reconstruction of interchanges at 2nd and 5th Streets; eight new bridges, and two <br /> bridge widenings.
