MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0824 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />For the TSS Implementation Phase, CONSULTANT shall furnish and install <br />traffic signal equipment as defined in the scope of work (SOW) (including, but not <br />limited to, traffic signal controllers (hardware and software) and GPS clocks). <br />CONSULTANT shall also verify all recommendations for traffic signal equipment <br />upgrades that may be necessary for the implementation of the TSS plans. <br />The TSS Support Services Phase requires CONSULTANT to provide continuing <br />signal timing support for a period of nine (9) months after the TSS <br />Implementation Phase. CONSULTANT shall monitor, observe, fine-tune, and <br />optimize the signal timing and phasing operations of the synchronized signalized <br />intersections as defined in the SOW. <br />The overall TSS effort encompasses two hundred and fifty-two (252) <br />intersections within eleven (11) agency jurisdictions, which include Anaheim, <br />Brea, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa <br />Ana, Seal Beach, Westminster, and Caltrans District 12. Memorandums of <br />Understanding (MOU) and/or cooperative agreements with each of the eleven <br />(11) agencies is underway with AUTHORITY and agency staff with expected <br />completion by winter 2010. <br />In the future, the three TSS corridors will be updated and maintained within the <br />AUTHORITY's Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program under the <br />Renewed Measure M program. <br />The agencies are currently using different types and models of traffic signal <br />controller systems as part of their local controller system or master controller <br />system. The following traffic signal controller systems are currently used along <br />the corridors: <br />1. NEMA — Multisonics 820A <br />2. NEMA - Econolite ASC/2 and ASC/3 <br />3. NEMA - Eagle M52 <br />4. 170, 170E <br />5. 2070, 2070N, 2070L, 207OLN <br />Table 1-1 summarizes the traffic signal controller make and type, local <br />intersection software, and traffic management system software per agency that <br />optimized signal timing and synchronization shall be implemented at along the <br />corridors. <br />Scope of Work 9 09/09/1 O <br />
