MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0826 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />CONSULTANT shall use existing traffic signal interconnection systems for signal <br />timing implementation. If interconnection systems do not exist, CONSULTANT <br />shall implement time -based signal coordination techniques within the jurisdiction. <br />CONSULTANT shall also implement time -based signal coordination techniques <br />across traffic signals controlled by different agencies to provide inter -jurisdictional <br />coordination. <br />The project will include the procurement of ten (1 O) new traffic signal controllers. <br />The specifications and final quantity of new controllers were determined during <br />the TSS Design Phase as a result of the previous consultant recommendations <br />and corresponding written approvals from AUTHORITY and agencies. <br />CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the installation of traffic signal controllers <br />at all signalized intersections except those located within Caltrans District 12 <br />jurisdiction. Caltrans District 12 shall be responsible for the installation of traffic <br />signal controllers at all signalized intersections located within their jurisdiction. At <br />no additional cost, CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the procurement and <br />delivery of the traffic signal controllers to locations approved by AUTHORITY in <br />writing. <br />As the project will be using time -based signal coordination, CONSULTANT shall <br />evaluate the current time -referencing of all traffic signal controllers and <br />recommend a corridor -wide strategy (such as GPS clocks) to ensure that all <br />traffic signal controllers are on synchronized time clocks. The specifications and <br />final quantity of new GPS clocks were determined during the TSS Design Phase <br />as a result of the previous consultant recommendations and corresponding <br />written approvals from AUTHORITY and agencies. At no additional cost, <br />CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the procurement and installation of three <br />(3) GPS clocks at locations approved by AUTHORITY in writing. <br />Table 4-1 summarizes the time -reference equipment recommendations, <br />including new traffic signal controllers and GPS clocks, determined during the <br />TSS Design Phase that will be required for the Bristol/State College Boulevard <br />BRT Corridor. <br />Scope of Work 67 05/18/1 O <br />
