MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0825 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />for existing corridor conditions, including all required fine tuning and timing charts <br />as requested by AUTHORITY and agencies, and final signal timing <br />implementation plan to AUTHORITY and agencies within sixty (60) days of NTP <br />of the BRT corridors TSS Implementation Phase for written approval by <br />AUTHORITY. <br />CONSULTANT shall submit four (4) hard copies and four (4) electronic copies (in <br />electronic media as approved by AUTHORITY in writing) of the Harbor Boulevard <br />BRT Corridor Draft and Final Signal Timing Implementation Plans to <br />AUTHORITY for written approval prior to commencement of signal timing <br />implementation. <br />Upon written approval of the optimized signal timings by AUTHORITY and <br />agencies, CONSULTANT shall implement, or assist local agencies' staff in the <br />implementation of new signal timings at all signalized intersections except those <br />located within Caltrans District 12 jurisdiction either through: 1) the central traffic <br />signal system (if available) or, 2) direct implementation in the field traffic signal <br />controllers. Caltrans District 12 shall be responsible for the implementation of <br />new signal timings at all signalized intersections located within their jurisdiction. <br />CONSULTANT shall use existing traffic signal interconnection systems for signal <br />timing implementation. If interconnection systems do not exist, CONSULTANT <br />shall implement time-based signal coordination techniques within the jurisdiction. <br />CONSULTANT shall also implement time-based signal coordination techniques <br />across traffic signals controlled by different agencies to provide inter-jurisdictional <br />coordination. <br />The project will include the procurement of thirteen (13) new traffic signal <br />controllers. The specifications and final quantity of new controllers were <br />determined during the TSS Design Phase as a result of the previous consultant <br />recommendations and corresponding written approvals from AUTHORITY and <br />agencies. CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the installation of traffic signal <br />controllers at all signalized intersections except those located within Caltrans <br />District 12 jurisdiction. Caltrans District 12 shall be responsible for the <br />installation of traffic signal controllers at all signalized intersections located within <br />their jurisdiction. At no additional cost, CONSULTANT shall be responsible for <br />the procurement and delivery of the traffic signal controllers to locations <br />approved by AUTHORITY in writing. <br />As the project will be using time-based signal coordination, CONSULTANT shall <br />evaluate the current time-referencing of all traffic signal controllers and <br />recommend a corridor-wide strategy (such as GPS clocks) to ensure that all <br />traffic signal controllers are on synchronized time clocks. The specifications and <br />final quantity of new GPS clocks were determined during the TSS Design Phase <br />as a result of the previous consultant recommendations and corresponding <br />written approvals from AUTHORITY and agencies. At no additional cost, <br />CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the procurement and installation of six <br />(6) GPS clocks at locations approved by AUTHORITY in writing. <br />Scope of Work 76 05/'18/1 O
