Proposed Work Plgn/Quality Control
Marina Landscape Inc. understands the scope of work and the requirements of
the City of Santa Ana.
Marina's methodology for maintaining parks such as those found within your city,
will be driven by the landscape's needs, schedules of the vehicular and pedestrian
traffic and the City's needs. All work will be done within the hours we are restricted to
work between. Our routes are largely affected by the schedule of the public
accessibility to the site, and the City's schedule of park use. After a few weeks we will
be able to predict those hours and will then adjust accordingly to maximize our time to
be efficient and cause the least amount of inconvenience to the public. Maintenance of
the project will be completed by skilled crews whose schedules will be established but
will remain flexible for adjustments as required by the needs and availability of the
City's locations.
During our ramp -up period we will be inspecting all of the sites before we take
them over, creating any necessary punch -lists of current issues. After our initial
inspection we will develop the most efficient routes and divide the crews Into the
appropriate sizes and assign them to territories. The fourth step will be to create a list
of priorities ranging from urgent to as -needed, so we have goals already set for when
we start the work. After these initial steps have been completed we will be ready to
fully take over the maintenance of all the locations and send out our crews.
Our crews will have fully stocked Ford F-250 trucks, complete with shovels,
brooms, pitch forks, rakes, pruners, wheelbarrow, hoes, chalnsaws, leaf blowers,
burlaps, etc. to manicure each site thoroughly. One or two of the trucks will also be
equipped with a trailer that will hold our mowers, ranging from trailer mounted triple
gang mower, 72" Laser Mower, sports turf reel mowers to 36" mowers for those sites
with turf. All of our crew's possess the most current and up-to-date tools available, as
to best service this project. Our shears, trimmers, mowers, and blades are constantly
sharpened for the best cutting edge possible, as to not damage the plant material.
Although cultivation Is our preferred form of weeding, Marina will also be supplying our
staff with a chemical spray backpacks for detailed chemical weeding when absolutely
necessary. All spraying activity will be done early In the morning and In low winds to
avoid contamination of adjacent landscape. We also will be providing our expert
Irrigation technicians to ensure the plants are getting an adequate amount of water,
and that watering clocks are set to the proper speciflcatlons. Our Irrigation technicians
recognize that water conservation is very important to everyone and having an efficient
water practice Is the key to optimizing water usage. One of the first processes Marina
Implements on a new contract is a water audit. Our water audit ensures that the
Irrigation system is running properly which will cut down on water costs, while making
sure proper absorption Is occurring In the plant soll.
