<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> i <br /> I <br /> <br /> 1 2.3 CONTRACTOR shall not refuse participants without discussion and <br /> <br /> 2 concurrence by WTW staff prior to any action to minimize issues that impede <br /> 3 participants' ability to complete VTR activities. <br /> <br /> 4 3. SERVICES <br /> 5 3.1 CONTRACTOR shall engage participants for the number of hours as <br /> <br /> 6 referred by WTW staff. <br /> I <br /> 7 3.2 Individual CalWORKs WTW participation requirements are currently <br /> 8 as follows and are subject to change according to State and Federal mandates; j <br /> 9 3.2.1 Thirty-two (32) hours per week in approved WTW activities <br /> <br /> 10 for a one (1) parent Assistance Unit and a two (2) parent Assistance Unit in <br /> <br /> 11 which deprivation is based on the disability of one (1) parent; or <br /> 12 3.2.2 Thirty-five (35) hours per week in approved WTW activities <br /> <br /> 13 for two (2) parent Assistance Units. One (1) parent can satisfy the total <br /> 14 thirty-five (35) hour requirement. If both parents contribute to the thirty- <br /> <br /> 15 five (35) hour requirement then at least one parent shall participate a <br /> 16 minimum of twenty (20) hours per week. <br /> <br /> 17 3.3 VTR is a temporary, transitional, and short-term educational <br /> 18 activity, not to exceed twelve (12) months, to prepare participants for <br /> <br /> 19 employment in a specific trade, occupation, or vocation. VTR activities must <br /> 20 be provided by vocational-technical schools, postsecondary institutions or <br /> <br /> 21 proprietary schools. VTR activities shall be made available to participants <br /> i <br /> 22 in areas identified as growth oriented, current or emerging occupation, <br /> 23 meeting an unmet community need, and in high demand for new employees.
