<br /> <br /> i <br /> i <br /> <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> 1 3.3,5 Health Care careers <br /> 2 3.3.6 Hospitality <br /> 3 3.3.7 Protective Services <br /> <br /> 4 3.3.8 Transportation <br /> 5 3.4 WEX is a planned, structured learning experience that occurs in <br /> <br /> 6 the workplace for a limited period not to exceed four (4) months in length. <br /> 7 The WEX work site may include public or private, for-profit or nonprofit <br /> <br /> 8 organizations. WEX is a post-assessment activity designed to provide the <br /> <br /> 9 participant exposure to work environments. Under close supervision, WEX <br /> 10 activities provide basic job skills and enhance existing job skills and work <br /> <br /> 11 experience while meeting an identified community need. <br /> ~ i <br /> 12 3.5 CONTRACTOR shall be reimbursed by COUNTY for one hundred percent <br /> 13 (100%) of the salary and benefits paid to each WEX participant. CONTRACTOR <br /> i <br /> 14 shall pay WEX participants at a rate not to exceed eight dollars ($8.00) per <br /> 15 hour, or prevailing California Minimum Wage, for each hour worked, not to <br /> 16 exceed the total number of hours referred by WTW staff. At the end of the <br /> <br /> 17 training period it is generally expected that the employer will hire the <br /> 18 participant as a regular employee. <br /> <br /> 19 3.6 CONTRACTOR shall obtain prior approval from ADMINISTRATOR for all <br /> 20 VTR and WEX activities provided under this Agreement. <br /> <br /> 21 4. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 22 CONTRACTOR shall; <br /> <br /> 23 4.1 Assign a SA WIB CM who will work closely with each participant and <br /> 24 develop a relationship to understand the participant's needs, assess career <br /> <br /> 25 goals, and arrange an appropriate VTR or WEX activity. <br /> 26 4.2 Provide an orientation to VTR and WEX activities to all <br /> <br /> 27 participants. <br /> 28 4.3 Provide workshops that will enhance participants' success on the <br /> <br /> <br /> (WAM08A11) 4 of 18 (December 22, 2011) <br /> <br /> 20B-46 <br />
