The Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board/Youth Council 12012 <br />Youth Business Network Project (YBNP) <br />detaining, redirection and counseling procedures. Job duties consist of group outings, <br />transportation of clients to various programs, regional occupational program, drug rehab, <br />parenting, family visits and school. Programs consists daily mandatory group sessions for <br />teaching clients a variety of skills. Employment duties included participation in treatment team <br />meetings with therapists, social workers and program managers to discuss daily observation <br />sheets and each individual client behavior. <br />Diversified Management Services (DMS) is a consulting finn for businesses both for profit and <br />nonprofit structure and funding development. DMS has extensive experience in funding <br />development primarily in government grants and contracts. They have a combined experience in <br />taxation, grant accounting, contract development and implementation of social services <br />programs. <br />Owner George Tuioti has extensive experience working with troubled youth after serving in the <br />Probation Department of Orange County for l Iyrs and also has his BA in Criminal Justice. In <br />2006, George received his California Basic Education Standard Test (CBEST) certificate which <br />allowed him to teach for the County of Orange Department of Education to better himself in the <br />profession of being a teacher, mentor, trainer and educator. He currently works as a CPS <br />investigator for Clark County in the State of Nevada on a part time basis and understands the <br />plight that families face in today's society. George has long desired to return to his home town <br />and be able to give back and create opportunities for youth to elevate their game. <br />Owner Myrna T. Pili has extensive experience in grant writing, specifically in local, State and <br />federal government grants. Myrna wrote her first grant in 2005 for a nonprofit organization that <br />offered a back to work program for veterans. The grant was a local grant through the State of <br />Nevada's Workforce Investment Board and was in the amount of $350,000. The organization <br />was awarded $300,000 with a total project budget of a little over 1.2 million. Since that time, <br />Myrna has written well over 50plus grants through various departments to include HUD, <br />Department of Social Services, CDBG (Community Development Block Grants), for nonprofit <br />organizations she's been employed by. In November 2005, the State of Nevada allocated <br />4million to Clark County to pilot a 20 month project that will address the rising issue of chronic <br />homelessness in the City of Las Vegas. A consortium of 7 premier nonprofit organizations called <br />O.U.T.R.E.A.C.H (Organizations United To Reach Educate Assist Chronic Homeless) got <br />together and applied for the project and was awarded 3.2mil over a 20month period. Myrna was <br />the Project Director for the pilot project which focused on homeless youth in the County and also <br />wrote the grant and implemented the project. At the end of the project, Clark County Social <br />Services committed themselves to fund the program at 1.5mil over a 5 year period. <br />Owner David has a variety of extensive experience in the field of Real Estate, Accounting, <br />Financing, and Business ownership. He is responsible for building several successful businesses <br />from ground up till it was sold for profit. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and early in <br />his career knew it was necessary to have auditing experience. David began a 2 year venture with <br />Price Waterhouse and Coopers a big 5 accounting firm. His time there was invaluable in that he <br />enlarged his experience in business operations.
