RBF also approaches each project with the philosophy that our project team includes. the City's staff. The City's <br />involvement will be integral throughout all phases of the contract and each individual project. REP will <br />communicate regularly with the City's Project Manager to provide updates on project progress, and discuss key <br />Issues that have been decided, or are in need of resolution. Efforts will be made to ensure the City's goals are <br />being met throughout each project. <br />SAMPLE PROJECT <br />Please note, . the subsequent sections pertain to the sample project as identified on page 17 of the RFP. The <br />sections include the Project Understanding, Key Issues, and Scope of Work. The project fee for the sample project <br />has been Included In aseparately steeled envelope. Although this was identified as sample project, we have taken <br />the same approach as if we were proposing to do this work. We thoroughly reviewed the project and conducted a <br />site walk to gain an understanding of the project area and key Issues. The scope of Work identifies the required <br />work items to complete the project based an what is listed in the RFP, and based on our understanding of what the <br />project will require to completion, our Scope of Work clarifies and expands: on the existing language in the RFP for <br />this specific project, and identifies the required deliverables for each task. <br />Project Understanding <br />The project includes the design of water and sewer main improvements in the City of <br />Santa Ana. The design shall include all bid documents including: construction plans, <br />specifications, and cost estimate. The limits of the project are described below; <br />3,200 LF of 8" water main For the following limits: <br />• Rene Drive Hemlock Way Segerstrom Avenue <br />• Rita Way— San Lorenzo to Segerstrom Avenue <br />• Spruce — San Lorenzo to Segerstrom Avenue <br />• Pacific Ave — San Lorenzo to Segerstrom Avenue <br />• San Lorenzo— Rene. Drive to Pacific Avenue <br />4,100 LF of 8" sewer main for the following limits, <br />• Myrtle Street — Bristol Street to Center Street <br />The following Scope of Work describes in detail the tasks associated with this project. <br />Key issues <br />Key Issue N1t Field Conditions. Bused on our project site visits, there are unique field <br />conditions to be aware of that must be considered in design and for any field work <br />Malang place (potholing and geotechnical borings). Along Myrtle Street there is a fire <br />station, low hanging overhead fines, County of orange Flood Control. facilities, .a part(, <br />and street parking on both sides of the street. For the field work to be conducted, we <br />will coordinate with the City to minimize community impacts. Coordination items for <br />the field work will include temporary parking restrictions along the street, and <br />maintaining access requirements for the fire station, <br />Myrtle Street looking east from <br />end of cul-de-sac <br />Fire Station on Myrtle Street <br />t <br />
