Amendment to the Citizen <br />Participation Plan <br />November 18, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />HUD regulations requires that the Citizen Participation Plan Amendment be available for a 30 -day <br />public review period prior to being finalized to provide the residents of the jurisdiction the <br />opportunity to offer comments. On September 20, 2014, notification was published in the Orange <br />County Register that the draft plan was available for review beginning September 21, 2014, and <br />that the public hearing would be held on October 8, 2014. It was also noticed in the La Opinion <br />and the Nguoi Viet News as well as the City's website. The 30-day public comment period <br />concluded on October 21, 2014. In accordance with Federal regulations, all neighboring <br />jurisdictions were also informed of the draft's availability for review. All comments received will be <br />included in the final document, which will be submitted to HUD. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGHNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's effort to meet Goal #5: Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability.
