RFP TIMEFRAME <br />This RFP (procurement) will be effective for a four (4) year cycle beginning February 19, 2015 and ending <br />February 19, 2019. Selected providers must be in good standing with the City of Santa Ana and <br />Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act programs. Providers will be expected to be operational in <br />Santa Ana /Orange County by July 1, 2015 and enter into a contract with the City of Santa Ana that is <br />substantially similar to the standard contract hereby attached on page 47 -61. <br />INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />Awarded programs must provide Certificate of General Liability, Workers Compensation, Additional <br />Insured Endorsement, and Sexual Abuse & Molestation Insurance coverage. Insurance requirements <br />apply during the operating program year and during the 12 month follow -up period. Contractor <br />evaluations will be assessed during the third quarter of the program year. <br />YOUTH PROTECTION <br />To maintain a safe environment, the awarded Youth Service Providers that serve youth under the age of <br />18 will need to provide a Youth Protection Policy and proof of Sexual Abuse & Molestation insurance <br />coverage of at least 52.000.000. WIOA prohibits any department or organization of the United States from exercising any direct <br />supervision, or control over education curriculum. <br />2. All funds made available under the WIOA must be used in accordance with the requirements of <br />the Act and includes restrictions on School -To -Work activities. <br />3. No funds may be used to provide an activity for eligible youth who are not school dropouts if <br />participation in the activity would interfere with or replace the regular academic requirements <br />of the youth. <br />4. Equipment may not be purchased with WIOA funds under this contract. <br />5. Consumables that will be used beyond the program contract are not allowed to be purchased. <br />1901-17 13 <br />
