dependents of another individual, is married filing a joint return or previously enrolled <br />in the Foster Care Program (age 18 -24 only) <br />3. All Applicants must be referred by a case manager or supportive service agency. <br />4. Goodwill, the designated service provider agency for Vista del Rio, is responsible for <br />screening all supportive housing applicants for Program Eligibility. Goodwill will <br />review applications to verify program eligibility. Goodwill will then refer all eligible <br />applicants to the property manager, JSCO, for income verification and conduct <br />appropriate background checks. <br />As for the eight (8) units that receive Section 8 Project Based Assistance (PBA), the <br />SAHA will maintain their own wait list and send referrals to management to fill these <br />units. Goodwill and Management will first ensure that applicants meet program <br />eligibility and will then send pre- approved applicants to the Santa Ana Housing <br />Authority in order to further determine eligibility to occupy a unit at Vista del Rio per <br />the Section 8 requirements. <br />II. Program Eligibility for Subsidy. <br />1. Section 8 Project -Based Voucher Program <br />i. Eight (8) units will be subsidized by the Section 8 program which is <br />administered by the Santa Ana Housing Authority. <br />ii. The Housing Authority must verify citizenship or eligible immigration status. <br />HAP benefits will be prorated based on the residency status of each <br />household member. <br />iii. If required, applicants must provide a complete and accurate social security <br />number and proof of age. <br />iv. The applicant's adjusted income must be less than the required AMI for the <br />unit in question. <br />v. The applicant may not be a registered sex offender in any state. <br />The Housing Authority will deny applicants with: <br />vi. violent felony convictions; <br />vii. drug - related criminal activity within the last three years; <br />viii. a history of illegal drug use; <br />ix. child molestation and /or sexual misconduct convictions; or <br />x. prior evictions from a federally- assisted housing project. <br />III.
