(2) Monthly Schedule <br />1. Contractor shall meet with the City once a month to discuss work <br />performance, special instructions, any problems encountered and upcoming <br />schedules. <br />2. Changes to the schedule shall be received by the Projects Manager or <br />designee at least twenty -four (24) hours prior to the scheduled time for the <br />work. <br />3. Failure to notify of a change and /or failure to perform an item of work on a <br />scheduled day may, at the City's sole discretion, result in deduction of <br />payment for that date, week or month. <br />(3) Daily Schedule <br />The Contractor shall meet with the City's representative daily for the purpose of <br />reviewing the week's work, receiving special instructions, and to discuss any <br />problems encountered on the job. Changes to daily schedule can be made <br />verbally or by email to the Projects Manager or designee. <br />(4) Performance on Schedule <br />The Contractor has been provided the maximum latitude in establishing work <br />schedules which correspond to its manpower and equipment resources. The <br />Contractor has also been provided the opportunity and procedure for adjusting <br />those schedules to meet special circumstances. Therefore, all work shall be <br />completed on the day scheduled, as shown on the weekly schedule. <br />S. PERFORMANCE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER <br />(1) During the periods when inclement weather hinders normal operations, the <br />Contractor shall adjust his /her work force in order to accomplish those activities <br />that are not affected by weather. <br />(2) The Contractor shall immediately notify the Projects Manager or designee prior to <br />removing the work force from the job site for agreement on degree of inclement <br />weather or other reasons. If the Projects Manager or designee cannot be <br />reached, the Contractor shall notify Maintenance Services Supervisor. <br />T. PUBLIC NOTICING <br />The Contractor shall supply and post standard signage on the trunk of the tree at the site <br />work at which work is to be performed, at least seventy two hours (72) in advance of <br />work with the signage clearly stating what type of work is to be done and what affect the <br />work will have on parking availability at that particular site. Posting shall be affixed to the <br />tree trunk using materials that do not cause permanent damage to the tree such as twine. <br />In the event that a tree trunk is not available for posting, the Contractor shall affix the <br />posting to a standard size safety cone or a three foot stake and place that cone in the <br />center of the parkway where a tree is to be planted or atop a stump that is scheduled for <br />grinding. <br />City of Santa Ana Street Tree Maintenance RFP <br />19E-24 Page 21 <br />
