Minutes Page 2 <br />Change in Order of Agenda <br />2.0 Student Safety Issues <br />2,5 Proposed IV Needle Exchange Program (near Davis Elementary School) <br />Mr. Cavazos, City Manager opened discussion; Scott Kutner, District Manager <br />Neighborhocd Initiatives stated deadline is May 14 and State has to comply with <br />zoning. <br />2.1 Cell Tower - Petiole Park (near Muir Fundamental Elementary Schoen <br />Following discussions and after hearing comments, Mr. Mouet, PRCSA Executive <br />Director stated the City will communicate with the District related to proposed <br />locations for cell towers. <br />2.2 Crossing Guards <br />Mr. Palacio, SAUSD Board President suggested District should be part of the <br />pre -planning process on site locations; Mr. Cavazos, City Manager stated SAPD <br />and SAUSD PD have been meeting. <br />Change in Order of Agenda <br />3.0 Possib'_e Joint -Use Agreements <br />3.1 Master Agreement <br />3.2 Godinez Fundamental High School -possible use agreement with valley, <br />Century and other locations in the City <br />3.2.1 Involving multi-purpose field and Track improvements. <br />3.2.2 Supported by: <br />a. 50/50 sharing of capita'_ expense <br />I. Irrevocable trust with annual contribution <br />+ To serve maintenance and future improvement needs <br />Related to the Sports Complex and Century High School, Mr. Palacio <br />suggests an equal partnership with the City. Mr. Reyna, City Council <br />member stated working together will create an opportunity for sustained <br />change. Ms, Amezcua, City Council member stated because of the lack of <br />open space, community needs access to schools and she is willing to <br />invest money in future improvements and partnersb.ips. Dr. Miller, SAUSD <br />Superintendent stated conversations have been initiated with Mr. <br />Cavazos, City Manager relating to utilizing facilities; joint use must <br />be very clear, set guidelines, figure out policy, putting aside money to <br />replace facilities. Joint use should include short term and long term <br />support. <br />3.2.3 Home Run Fence on Godinez High Ball Diamonds <br />Mr. Monet stated agreement must be amended, to reflect reality; project <br />needs to have a cost estimate for tournament field, <br />Minutes Page 3 <br />
