Consultant shalt rescarc:h as necessary to fhlty understand the <br />capabilities and limitation of the station in its current operational configuration, <br />b. It is anticipated that up to five (5) sessions (4 hours each) w iH be needed to complete this <br />task. <br />c. C'on.suhant shalt provide a "Site; Operations" summary of current operating procedures <br />based upon the findings. /results ofthese work sessions. <br />d. Review and develop a detailed understanding of the proposed plans Laud specifications for <br />Walnut Pump Station improvements (under a separate C'ontratct"scope of work). Full plans and <br />Specifications for this project will be made available to the selected consultant capon award <br />of contract. A draft of the operational control strategy for bidding; purposes has been <br />provided In Exhibit 1). <br />4. Create, update and enhance the Functional Specification (Cotatatined in the Projcct. Construction <br />Specifications) for the Walnut Pump Station based upon Tasks 1•3 above. The specification <br />shalt include the followitag: <br />a. Narrative overview of the function and operation of the station; <br />1% ldentifaeation of all component of the station (i.e., egttiptrrcrtt, instrumentation, etc.) <br />c, Narrative doscription of the functionality of each component of the station (c.g., pumps, <br />tanks, VFDs, valves, motors sCnsor:w'transmiCCars, monitors, etc�); <br />d. Narrative description of ail operatiotuil modes for the station; <br />c, Dosoription ofthe process control strategies for the station <br />1. Narrative dcwcriptian of each process control strategy; <br />2. Idunliitication of the specific 1 /0,, wtpoink, commands, and communications <br />associated with each strategy; <br />Detailed description of the control logic ('or each component€stratogy, including <br />permissives, interlocks, PID controls, etv.; <br />Description of the SCADA interfaces (The City SCADA Network is 'Dyne ES provided <br />by Kapsch Trafti.eCom USA, tnc.); <br />g. Narrative and detailed description ofsystearw alarms and other notification functionality, <br />S. ]lapsed oil the Consultant's detailed understanding of Wv alnut Station functionality and operations, <br />and Consultant's detailed understanding of the proposed plaustspecifications for the Walnut <br />Station improvements (from Tasks 1 -4 above), the Consultant shalt coordinate with the Project's <br />PCS Integrator to develop comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptatwce <br />Test (SA'f) protocols. Consultant will be tasked with reviewing, enhancing; and providing <br />approval recommendations for test protocols and other control system submittals associated with <br />City of <br />
