COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NO. C -5 -3583 <br />EXHIBIT B <br />Maintenance on or near the streetcar guideway will be addressed fully in the Operations and <br />Maintenance Agreement. <br />5.3.2 Pavement <br />The streetcar guideway shall be installed by saw cutting the existing pavement, constructing <br />the track slab(s), patching the pavement with a pavement thickness meeting CITY standards as <br />defined by Exhibit B, Section 6.1.1. Pavement restoration for utility trenching performed by the <br />AUTHORITY shall be handled similarly. <br />5.3.3 Traffic Signals <br />The streetcar shall utilize the same traffic signals vehicular traffic utilizes. If during design an <br />operational need is identified requiring an independent streetcar signal system, the CITY agrees to <br />allow integration of the independent signal with the CITY's signal system as long as there is not a <br />material degradation of traffic flow. CITY traffic signal poles shall not be used for the OC Streetcar <br />overhead contact system or dedicated OC Streetcar signal facilities unless mutually agreed to <br />otherwise. To reduce sidewalk clutter and assist in integration, the CITY shall allow the AUTHORITY <br />to place any traffic related streetcar equipment inside the CITY's traffic control cabinets where space <br />is available.
