Section 5 <br />project area. Additionally, the Proposed Project would not involve the <br />construction of new infrastructure or expansion of existing infrastructure to <br />facilitate new housing and population growth within the project area. The <br />increased amount of ground water recharge capacity from the Proposed Project <br />would help to meet existing and planned water demands within in the project <br />area, <br />The construction of the Proposed Project would generate short-term employment <br />opportunities within the project area. The employment opportunities would most <br />likely be filled from County-wide employment pool and would not generate a <br />need for additional housing or increase population levels within the project area. <br />Alternative 3: Reduced Intensity Alternative <br />Under Alternative 3, one less injection well would be constructed. Similar to the <br />Proposed Project, OCWD could hire additional workers to operate and maintain <br />the injections wells. Because one less injection well would be operated and <br />maintained a reduced amount of new workers could potentially be needed. The <br />additional workers would be minimal and would not substantially change existing <br />housing and population levels within the project area, <br />The Proposed Project would generate short employment opportunities. Because <br />one less injection well would be constructed there could potentially be fewer <br />employment opportunities.
