Damaged or deteriorated paint shall be evaluated for the presence of lead and the control of lead -based hazards <br />in housing built before 1978. <br />ON -GOING COMPLIANCE <br />• Deficiencies that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety must be addressed immediately. <br />ME <br />POOLS AND SPAS <br />NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS <br />• Compliance with all current codes, standards and ordinances is required. <br />REHAB / ACQUISITION / ON -GOING COMPLIANCE <br />• Compliance with all applicable codes (federal, state, and local) is generally required. Some pre- existing, <br />non- conforming conditions may be allowed as long as required permits were obtained and they meet the <br />minimum standards described below. <br />MINIMUM STANDARDS (REHAB / ACQUISITION / ON -GOING COMPLIANCE) <br />• Pools and spas shall be well maintained and free of any adverse conditions determined to be a health and <br />safety hazard. <br />• Abandoned pools and spas shall be filled solid with granular material to prevent flotation and capped with <br />soil. The pool and spa walls shall be perforated with sufficient openings to permit in- filtration and ex- <br />filtration of groundwater. All connections to water supply shall be capped in accordance with applicable <br />codes. All electrical connections are to be terminated or disconnected in accordance with the electrical <br />code. <br />• Fencing shall comply with all applicable state and local codes adopted by the City of Santa Ana. <br />ON -GOING COMPLIANCE <br />• Deficiencies that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety must be addressed immediately. <br />BUILDING EXTERIOR <br />FOUNDATIONS <br />NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS <br />• Compliance with all current codes, standards and ordinances is required. <br />REHAB / ACQUISITION / ON -GOING COMPLIANCE <br />• Compliance with all applicable codes (federal, state, and local) is generally required.
