Agreement for R&S Overhead Doors of So -Cal, Inc. <br />to Install Fire -Safety Doors and Fixtures <br />November 15, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />elevator shafts has already been adequately addressed. During that time and in that area, floor <br />occupants can wait to be rescued in relative safety. In addition to life safety features, the doors <br />will be equipped with security card readers to prevent unauthorized ingress to the floor interior <br />area at all times. <br />The notice soliciting Requests for Proposals was advertised on August 17, 2016 on the City's <br />online bid management and publication system. A summary of the proposals received is as <br />follows: <br />53 Vendors were notified <br />2 Santa Ana vendors notified <br />10 Vendors downloaded the solicitation <br />2 Proposals received <br />1 Proposal received from Santa Ana vendors <br />Proposals were opened on September 20, 2016, and evaluated. One of the two proposals <br />received was rejected as non-responsive due to proposer's failure to submit certain required <br />documents. The proposal received from R&S Overhead Doors of So -Cal, Inc. located at 1617 N. <br />Orangethorpe Way, Anaheim, CA 92801 is responsive to the specifications and meets the City's <br />requirements (Exhibit 1). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Strategic Plan Goal #6 — Community <br />Facilities & Infrastructure, Objective 1 (Establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for <br />all City assets), Strategy G (Develop and implement City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />coordination with the Community Investment and Deferred Maintenance Plans). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. A Notice of Exemption will be filed for this project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $56,164 are available in FY2016-17 Council Special Projects - Finance <br />Building Maintenance Improvements account (no. 05010021-66200). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director <br />Finance and Management Services Agency <br />JA/WN <br />EXHIBIT: 1.
