Contractor on a schedule provided to Contractor by the City which schedule shall be <br /> approved between the Contractor and the City. <br /> Contractor shall collect, transport, recycle, divert, and dispose of all contractor- <br /> supplied roll-off boxes for City sponsored neighborhood cleanups free of charge. <br /> The number of roll-off boxes to be so provided shall not exceed one hundred and <br /> sixty five (165) during fiscal year 1993-1994. The number of roll-off boxes to be <br /> supplied may increase each year thereafter by ten (10%) per cent, with odd numbers <br /> to be rounded up. <br /> C.4 EMERGENCY SERVICES <br /> Emergency Services will be those services identified by the City, and requiring <br /> Contractor's attention within four (4) hours of notification by the City (e.g., services <br /> needed following natural disasters like earthquakes). <br /> Emergency Services may entail loading, collecting and hauling solid waste, <br /> construction, demolition and/or large items. Cost Proposals for emergency services <br /> will be requested per vehicle hour for roll-off and bin service utilizing a two-person <br /> crew. The Contractor will be compensated separately for services provided under <br /> this provision. <br /> C.5 RECYCLING PROGRAM REQUIREMENT'S <br /> The Contractor shall be required to process solid waste at a material recovery <br /> facility (MRF) and recover recyclables in accordance with the City's planned <br /> diversion goals. Specific requirements for the MRF are described in Section C.6. <br /> C.5.1 Implementation Schedule <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for the processing of all solid waste pursuant to the <br /> following schedules: <br /> Curbside Service <br /> Commencing on July 1, 1993, Contractor shall be required to process at a MRF at <br /> least one third (1/3) of all solid waste collected by the Contractor from curbside <br /> service units within the City; and, effective on January 1, 1994, contractor shall be <br /> required to process two thirds (2/3) of all solid waste collected by the Contractor from <br /> curbside service units within the City; and, finally commencing July 1, 1994 and for <br /> the duration of the term of the Agreement, the Contractor shall be required to <br /> process at a MRF all solid waste collected by it from curbside service units within <br /> the City. <br /> Bin Service <br /> Commencing on July 1, 1993, Contractor shall be required to process at a MRF at <br /> least one third (1/3) of all solid waste collected by the Contractor from its bin service <br /> customers within the City. Effective on January 1, 1994, Contractor shall be <br /> required to process two thirds (2/3) of all solid waste collected by Contractor from its <br /> Page 10 <br />
