Contracted Food and Commissary Services <br />March 21, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />increase of about $65,000 per year to feed US Marshal's and Bureau of Prison inmates. However, the <br />Department will also save approximately $193,000 per year as a result of not having to feed ICE <br />detainees. This base agreement cost of $1,269,579 will provide food service for approximately 122 <br />inmates, and includes a 15% contingency ($190,437) to cover increases in average daily population. This <br />agreement also includes two one -year renewal options. <br />Aramark Correctional Services, Inc. has been the provider of inmate food services since 1997 and <br />continues to perform these services in a professional and competent manner. All meals are prepared <br />based on the State of California Code of Regulations, Title 15 nutritional requirements along with all <br />Orange County Health Department health and safety requirements. Through this agreement, Aramark <br />Correctional Services, Inc. also provides catering services to various City functions along with operating <br />the inmate commissary program, and operation of the Code -7 staff cafeteria located within the Police <br />Administration building.
