The City <br />also awarded $1.2 million in HOME <br />Investment Partnership Program funds <br />to the project. <br />(CDA) Working in conjunction with the <br />Illumination Foundation and Mercy <br />House the City has increased permanent <br />housing options linked to a range of <br />supportive services using Housing Choice <br />Vouchers. <br />(CDA) The City awarded $45,510 to the <br />Illumination foundation to hire a <br />Housing Navigator to increase <br />permanent housing options linked to a <br />range of supportive services using <br />Housing Choice Vouchers. <br />(CDA) The City provided $99,750 to the <br />County of Orange to improve access to <br />emergency shelter by keeping the Santa <br />Ana National Guard Armory Emergency <br />Shelter open longer. <br />(CDA) The City met all requirements to <br />continue to receive funding from the <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development for the Emergency <br />Solutions Grant Program. <br />(TPA) Townsend Public Affairs (TPA) <br />worked with City staff on issues of <br />homelessness, specifically as it relates to <br />the potential relocation of the Orange <br />County Needle Exchange Program. TPA <br />has provided City staff with background <br />information on the state legislation that <br />allowed for the authorization of the <br />program, as well as potential <br />recommendations for moving forward. <br />• (TPA) Townsend Public Affairs provided <br />regular updates to the City's legislative <br />delegation on issues related to <br />homelessness in order for the City to be <br />informed in the event that outreach with <br />the Department of Public Health was <br />needed. <br />® (H &K) Holland & Knight coordinated <br />meetings with the Inter - Agency Council <br />on Homelessness and Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development <br />leadership to highlight Santa Ana's <br />efforts to address homelessness, <br />including its project to provide <br />permanent supportive housing using <br />project based vouchers. <br />Medical Mariivana <br />(Planning and Building Agency / Police <br />Department) <br />Support legislation which maintains local <br />control, considers critical health and safety <br />requirements, provides for community <br />education opportunities, and increases <br />assistance and /or funding opportunities to <br />municipalities that have adopted medical <br />marijuana regulations to support enforcement <br />of adopted operational standards.
