CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DRAFT SCOPE OF WORK <br />D. On -Call Bulky Item Collection <br />CONTRACTOR will provide on-call collection of bulky items from Commercial customers using <br />a method suitable for the MFD complex and agreed upon by the Customer or property manager. <br />CONTRACTOR will provide on-call collection of bulky waste to Commercial scheduling the <br />service with CONTRACTOR with 48 hours' notice. Customers may place up to five items out for <br />collection per pick-up. Items will be collected on the Customer's regular collection day. <br />CONTRACTOR will be required to separate and recycle all commodities that can be feasibly <br />recovered. Customers will pay a separate fee in accordance with the rate established by the CITY. <br />Bulky waste collected by CONTRACTOR may not be landfilled or disposed of until the <br />following hierarchy has been followed by the CONTRACTOR. <br />• Reuse as is (if energy efficient) <br />• Disassemble for reuse or recycling <br />• Recycle (through participation of charitable organizations) <br />• Disposal <br />4.2 OPTIONAL SERVICES FOR COMMERCIAL <br />A. On -Call Electronic Waste (E -Waste) Recycling Collection <br />CONTRACTOR will provide on-call a -waste collection. CONTRACTOR is required to describe <br />its methodology to provide on-call collection of a -waste (e.g., material types, customer set -out <br />requirements, control mechanisms for spills and contamination, and any limitations on allowable <br />amounts) along with a fee per pick-up that would cover all program costs. <br />B. On -Call Universal Waste Recycling Collection <br />CONTRACTOR will provide on-call universal waste recycling collection service. Universal <br />waste collection includes fluorescent lamps, cathode ray tubes, instruments that contain mercury, <br />and batteries. CONTRACTOR is required to describe its methodology to provide on-call <br />collection and recycling of universal waste (e.g., material types, customer set -out requirements, <br />chain of custody documentation, and any limitations on allowable amounts) along with a fee per <br />pick-up that would cover all program costs. <br />5. ROLL -OFF COLLECTION SERVICES <br />Roll -Off collection services include the delivery, removal and recycling or disposal of used or discarded <br />materials removed from premises during demolition, construction, repair or renovation of a structure <br />resulting from construction, remodeling, repair or demolition operations on any residential property, <br />commercial building, pavement, or other structure and such other materials as may be removed during the <br />normal cleanup process of such construction, renovation, repair or demolition operations. Roll -Off also <br />includes rocks, soils, tree remains and other Yard Waste and Large Yard Waste which results from land <br />clearing or land development operations in preparation for construction. Roll -Off does not include <br />Exempt Waste. <br />5.1 ROLL -OFF COLLECTION SERVICE REQUIREMENTS <br />CONTRACTOR will provide Roll -Off collection from Service Units in the Service Area and the <br />delivery of that material to the Materials Recovery Facility, Transfer Station or Disposal Facility, as <br />appropriate. Roll -Off collection service will be made available in container sizes including 10, 20 and <br />40 cubic yards.
