H. HISTORIC PROPERTY PRESERVATION AGREEMENT NO. 2017-20 <br />(Property. 541 West Santa Clara — Petz House) <br />MOTION: Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of <br />the Council to execute the attached agreement with Matthew and Lacy White, <br />property owners, for the structure located at 541 West Santa Clara, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />* * * END OF CONSENT CALENDAR * * * <br />COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATION DISCLOSURE (REGARDING AGENDIZED PROJECTS): <br />Commissioner Murashie disclosed he and Chairperson Christy visited all the properties. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. 2017-04, HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2017-03 AND HISTORIC PROPERTY <br />PRESERVATION AGREEMENT NO. 2017-21 <br />(Property: 2337 North Santiago Street— H. L. Johnson House) <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on September 15, 2017 and notices <br />mailed September 15, 2017. <br />Senior Planner McCann provided a presentation which included an overview of the <br />architectural style and features. Patricia Telles, applicant, spoke in support of the <br />recommended action. Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. There were no <br />additional speakers on the matter and the hearing was closed. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-04 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-03. <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Mills Act agreement with Carl and Patricia Telles, subject to <br />non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />MOTION: Murashie SECOND: Schaefer <br />VOTE: AYES: Christy, Garcia, Hardy, Hitterdale, Murashie, Nguyen, Rush, <br />Schaefer (8) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSTAIN: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />TAKEN OUT OF AGENDA ORDER <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS — Continued (on non -agenda items) <br />• Interim City Manager Cynthia Kurtz spoke on implementing a program on an annual basis having each <br />Chairperson of a City Board or Commission attend a Council meeting and make a presentation to the <br />Council on what the Commission is doing in order to keep Council apprised.
