L. & H. Smith House) <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on September 22, 2017 and notices <br />mailed September 21, 2017. <br />Planning Technician Flores provided a presentation which included the project description <br />and architectural style. Jeff & Martha Martinez, applicants, spoke in support of <br />recommended action, and provided additional information on the property and previous <br />owners. Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. There were no additional <br />speakers on the matter and the hearing was closed. Commissioner Hitterdale noted the <br />first owners owned the Revere House which is a notable item of local history and asked <br />that it be included in the write-up along with the names of the owners. Mr. Carvajal noted <br />staff will continue research to validate information and verify and potentially change the <br />name of the house to the Revere House if it were appropriate. <br />Commissioner Rush arrived at 5:03 p.m. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-19 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-18. <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Mills Act agreement with Jeffrey J.
