01 <br />10 <br />received from the previous owner which lists all the former residents by First American <br />Title; staff to place a copy in the city's project file. Commissioner Hitterdale noted one of <br />the recorded occupants J. Wylie Carlyle was the County Recorder for a number of years <br />and recommended the home be categorized as Key. Chairperson Christy opened the <br />public hearing. There were no additional speakers on the matter and the hearing was <br />closed. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-25 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-24 and <br />categorize as Key and renaming the home as the Hull -Carlyle House. <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Mills Act agreement with Benjamin Ramirez and Nicolette <br />Ramirez subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and <br />City Attorney. <br />MOTION: Hitterdale SECOND: Murashie <br />VOTE: AYES: Christy, Garcia, Hardy, Hitterdale, Murashie, Nguyen, Rush, <br />Schaefer (8) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSTAIN: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Principal Planner Carvajal: <br />• Thanked Commissioners for their patience in reviewing the 11 items on agenda. <br />• Noted staff is working tirelessly to make back-to-back meetings. <br />• Apologized for the typos adding staff will correct. <br />• Reported 27 properties have been placed on the register since July and are looking at <br />placing an additional 3-5 at the next meeting scheduled for October 26. Staff will be <br />informing homeowners of the remaining 36 applications they will be going for <br />designation the first part of next year. <br />• Noted designations represented various neighborhoods including French Park, Logan, <br />Floral Park, Park Santiago and East Side. <br />COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Hardy: <br />• Noted she will identify the number of Queen Anne structures in Heninger Park and <br />report back to the Commission. <br />Commissioner Garcia: <br />• Thanked homeowners who attended and <br />appreciated their comments. <br />• Thanked staff and commissioners. <br />stayed until the end of the meeting and <br />• Inquired if there will be a meeting on November 2.
