The functional specifications will <br />contain the following information, as called for in the RFP: <br />a) Narrative overview of the function and operation <br />b) Identification of all components (i.e. equipment, instrumentation, etc.) <br />a. Narrative description of the functionality of each component <br />c) Narrative description of'alloperational modes <br />d) Description of theprocess control strategies <br />a. Identification of the specific I/O, setpoints, commands, and <br />communications associated with each strategy <br />b. Detailed description of the control logic for each component/strategy, <br />.including permissives, interlocks, PID controls, etc. <br />e) Description of the SCADA interfaces <br />f) Narrative and detailed description of system alarms and other notification <br />functionality <br />Once complete, EA will submit the specification to the City for review. <br />7.5.2.1 Functional specification review workshop <br />To ensure the City's complete understanding of the specification, EA will conduct a <br />full day workshop with the City to review, explain, and discuss the contents as <br />necessary. <br />Following the workshop and receipt of the City's review comments, EA will update <br />the documentation per City comments. <br />7.5.3 Specification handover to PLC programmer <br />It will also be necessary to conduct a handover workshop with the PLC <br />programmer. The purpose of the handover is: <br />1. For EA to establish a working relationship with the PLC programmer <br />2. To explain the terminology used in the specification <br />3. To ensure the PLC programmer understands the intended operation of the <br />site <br />4. To'ensure that the PLC. programmer accepts the requirement to explicitly <br />comply with the specification <br />5.
