Kul Iz advised that many of these neighborhoods request the city to <br />protect the city. The city suggests possibly speaking to the neighborhood association. <br />Councilmember Solorio request City staff to look for other possible parking or other ways to <br />maximize parking. <br />John Palacio since this is a two flay event (4pm & 7pm) they expect over 1,300 on average in both <br />sessions. Since there are parking meters in the area, could the meters be obsolete during this <br />timeframe? <br />Councilmember Vi IIegas echoed that not enforcing the parkin; meter is a good idea. <br />Councilmember Benavides stated that it not a good sight to see a parking ticket after coming out of <br />a family or friend' s graduation. Since court jurors park in the near area, they might be <br />compromised, however proper signage should be posted; recommends increasing the signage. Chief <br />Magi chi will be working on the signage and will get together on reviewing the options, Another <br />option is for SAUSD to explore shuttle options from SANS to the Santa Ana Stadium. <br />Councilmember Solorio recommends SAUSD to project parking and to determine parkin; availability with <br />the option to explore shuttle services. The City will follow up with the parking rate and contract <br />information with the County. <br />6.0 Update Information on: (CITY) <br />6.1 Citywide Wi-Pi <br />Jack Ciulla with IT Staff at SAUSD stated that they were using a different approach to <br />provide Wi-Fi. The city wants to add a mesh wire to the Wi-Fi on specific locations <br />especially adjacent to schools. There is a current pilot project with Parks and Recreation <br />to add the neap hardware to a location near Jerome. If this pilot project is successful, they <br />will move works with Public (forks to expand the fiber optic cables by the end of next year. <br />Current street lights are equipped with LED and Wi-Fi option. By adding 1Yi-Fi-__33 through <br />all the street lights, it will provide Wi-Fi_33 to the community first aiming at Downtown <br />Santa Ana and commercial areas. <br />Dr. Haglud advised that the SAUSD is taking a different perspective and are using UFF air <br />network ranging from 10-20 gigabytes. The plan is to expand this to three sites (Willard, <br />Santa Ana Valley and Century) and most of the city of Santa Ana will be covered with Wi-fi. <br />In order for the Wi-F-i to work, students will need LTE devices. <br />Joint Palacio advised the SAUSD has already provided Wi-Fi to many students, which is why <br />they have moved Forwards with this project, however, whichever option the City would like to <br />take, he hopes it compatible or adaptable to SAUSD. <br />John Palacio motioned to have the city and SAUSD staff work together with one goal.
