HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. 2017-26, HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2017-25, AND HISTORIC PROPERTY <br />PRESERVATION AGREEMENT NO. 2017-30 <br />(Property: 512 West Santa Clara Avenue – Jacobs House) <br /> <br />Legal notice published in the Orange County Reporter on October 13, 2017 and notices <br />mailed October 13, 2017. <br /> <br />Senior Planner McCann provided a presentation which included the project description, <br />designation and architectural style. Donna Rohrbacker, applicant, noted thanks and spoke <br />in support of recommended action. Chairperson Christy opened the public hearing. There <br />were no additional speakers on the matter and the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hardy requested to add “detached garage” to the template. Chairperson <br />Christy requested that staff verify the name of the law firm on the template and correct if <br />needed. Commissioner Hitterdale provided additional information on first recorded <br />occupant, Otto Jacobs, noting he was a prominent lawyer, spoke on a national case he <br />was involved in and recommended the categorization be upgraded to Key. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2017-26 and approving Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-25 and categorize <br />as Key. <br /> <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute a Mills Act agreement with Peter R.
